From the initial consultation to the final unveiling of your transformed smile, our team ensures an empathic and structured approach, delivering personalised care at every step.
Explanation of the orthodontic treatment with clear aligners, treatment steps, and advantages of aligners versus fixed braces. 3D scans of your teeth will be made, as well as mouth and facial photos and X-rays.
Dr. Betti will use those intake results to discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan with you.
After collecting all the information during the intake consultation, Dr. Betti will carefully prepare your treatment plan. The data is merged into a 3D simulation, a virtual set-up of how the teeth will move.
During this consultation, our assistants will install the attachments, and all instructions will be given. This will be the beginning of the transformation of your smile.
Your control return will be every 2 or 3 months. We will check whether your treatment is going as planned during the control. You will have the possibility of being monitored remotely, thanks to artificial intelligence and orthodontic monitoring programs.
At this stage, the orthodontist assesses the condition of the mouth and the condition of the teeth. Sometimes, it is felt that the outcome can be improved, and it is necessary to re-scan the person's oral cavity and order new sets of aligners – the refinement.
When your orthodontic treatment is finalised, we remove the attachments and begin the retention stage. The containment phase is one of the most important of the process, as it allows the results achieved to be maintained for life.
Budget
Transparent Pricing for Exceptional Care
When you have an intake with us, you will receive all the necessary information you need. In addition, before the treatment starts, you will receive a cost estimate to know where you stand. Please note that costs may vary depending on individual response to the brace, with an average deviation of 20%.
Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa)
Rates for orthodontic treatments are determined by the NZa and are the same for all orthodontists in the Netherlands. However, it is possible that the actual costs could be higher or lower. Orthodontic treatments can vary in duration, which leads to more check-up appointments and higher costs. The costs also depend on the materials used that are explained in advance by the orthodontist and personal follow-up of the advice. Please find the relevant link to the NZa website here.
Rates, material and technology costs
Our practice also uses the rates of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), which are determined annually. The costs for dental technology and materials specifically linked to the treatment will be charged separately. This does not include consumables. These costs are detailed on the bill. We will inform you in advance about the expected treatment costs.
Cost of an orthodontic treatment with Clear Aligners
The costs of an orthodontic treatment vary depending on the type of material, the number of treatments required and personal wishes. In general, the Basic Insurance usually only covers orthodontic treatments in exceptional cases up to the age of 18. A complete orthodontic treatment costs on average between €3,500 and €4,500. Additional insurance can cover (part of) these costs for both children and adults. Check the conditions and possible age limits when taking out insurance with your health insurer and consider additional insurance to ensure good coverage.
